We welcome corrections that improve the accuracy, clarity, or jurisdiction labeling of our insurance education.
What we correct
We correct factual errors, broken or misrepresented sources, incorrect state or federal labels, misleading generalizations, and material wording that could imply a guarantee or personalized recommendation.
How corrections are handled
Reports are reviewed against the cited source and, when needed, an additional authoritative source. Minor spelling or formatting changes may be made without a notice. Material corrections may be noted in the article or reflected in its reviewed date.
What to include in a correction request
A useful request identifies the article, the exact statement in question, why it may be inaccurate, and an authoritative source that supports the correction.
Editorial independence
A request from an insurer, advertiser, affiliate, or other interested party does not automatically result in a change. Corrections are based on evidence and reader accuracy.
